apostolic bless you! Bombing in Turkey "I will make you a great nation and will bless you and make your name will be
blessing. bless them that bless thee and curse him who curses you;
through you will be blessed all the families of the earth "Genesis 12:2-3
The key words of this promise are divine blessing, blessing and blessed displayed five times in just two verses. The blessing promised to Abraham and through him, his people and all mankind, is destined to destroy the curse that sin had brought. (Gn 3.17; 4.11; 5.29, 8.21; 9.25).
How important is this promise of blessing that God gives to Abram. Previously it was understood the blessing of God as a total blessing, covering both spiritually and materially. Being someone prosperous was seen as a sign of God's blessing.
God strengthens His servant by giving promises of prosperity, a great family and grandeur. God's promise to Abraham assured him everything he could wish, that all their needs would be covered. But this blessing has a purpose, God wanted Abram was a blessing to others. God wanted to use the life of his servant to bless those who were in need.
The strategy planned to God, was to elect a man (single family) and make him and his descendants a nation with a special relationship with God. Would be made available to them and deliver its promises and laws. They, in turn, would know God to the nations of the world: this was the plan of God, His purpose in choosing these people. Because as expressed by David in Psalm 24:1 " earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof the world and those who dwell therein"
"If you obey the Lord your God, all these blessings will come upon you and accompany you always" Deuteronomy 28:2 NIV.
Dear brother, God bless you wish to continue as it has done so far, but you also want to be able to bless others with what he gives you. That is the longing for God, use their children to bless the nations.
today in seeking practical and concrete ways to bless others, you yourself will surely blessed and enriched.
